Also c++ is not outdated it is still being actively developed. It is just not memory safe compared to rust. -

E2EE messaging is being worked on. PoC available via Emissary (@benpate@mastodon.social)
Most other software on AP supports reduced visibility messaging. Threadiverse, there's NodeBB
